Great for vacation goers that want to stay close to the beach but have a small budget.
The room was clean and tidy. There was an ample amount of soaps and lotions in the bathroom. The room was nicely air conditioned. However, there was a strong smell of cigarette from the moment the door was opened. Overall, everything was really clean and nice.
People were banging on my door at 10 pm and someone else at 1am. The area is crackheads and prostitutes. Scary area even for a 40 year old man. The people working at the motel were super nice. It just can't make up for the people who are there that don't work for the motel but seem to still be doing some sort of "work.".
Wife and I stayed overnight due to broken AC, it was close by and had a good rate. The overnight person was super nice and the rooms were well maintained, although the room smelled a little musky. The bed was fine for an overnight stay and that AC cooled great. They have free parking, also free coffee and continental breakfast, though we did not do either one. I'd highly recommend this Econolodge for a temporary stay in Hollywood or nearby.
Florida on a budget. Not by any stretch a good location or trendy or even updated hotel. It's really a classic 1980s motel. Rooms are property are clean and housekeeping does a good job. Front desk staff are professional and friendly. But the property is out of date and in need of an updating to be where most Florida hotels are. Location is not great, not walking distance to beach or convenient to I-95. It's in an area of Hollywood that hasn't been gentrified yet. Not dangerous or unsafe but not desirable. If budget friendly trumps everything else mentioned, then book it. Florida hotels have gotten more expensive over the years so this is a more unique property.
